 World Milk Day

World Milk Day is a yearly celebration on June 1 that promotes milk consumption and brings attention to the value of milk production. In 2001, the FAO of the United Nations (formerly the Food and Agriculture Organisation) created the day. Protein, calcium, and other minerals can be found in milk. It is crucial to a balanced diet for persons of all ages. A significant source of employment and income for millions of people worldwide is milk production.

World Milk Day is a chance to recognise the value of milk and discover more about the dairy sector. It's also a good time to encourage individuals to drink milk and to include it in their daily diets.

History of World Milk Day

The FAO first suggested the idea for a World Milk Day in 1994. World Milk Day was first observed in 2002 after a resolution was accepted by the FAO General Assembly in 2001. World Milk Day is observed on June 1 because it is a day that is already widely observed around the world, according to the FAO. For instance, June 1 is recognised as National Milk Day in India.

Global Day of Parents

Every year on June 1st, the United Nations observes the Global Day of Parents to commemorate parents and their dedication to children all across the world. The day was established by the UN General Assembly in 2012, and it provides a chance to honour parents for their unconditional love for their kids and their lifetime dedication to fostering this bond. The Global Day of Parents in 2023 will have the theme "Appreciate all parents everywhere." This subject emphasises the value of parents in all societies and cultures and calls on individuals to express their gratitude to their own parents.

The Global Day of Parents can be observed in a variety of ways. Some people opt to spend time with their parents via calling, texting, or video conferencing with them in addition to paying them a visit in person. Others decide to donate their time to assist underprivileged kids. Others decide to donate to charities that assist parents and kids. The Global Day of Parents is a special day to honour the crucial role that parents play in our lives, regardless of how you choose to observe it.

History of the Global Day of Parents

During the International Year of the Family in 1994, the UN initially suggested the concept of a Global Day of Parents. The first celebration of the Global Day of Parents took place in 2013 after the General Assembly passed a resolution establishing it in 2012. The Global Day of Parents serves to highlight the crucial function that parents have in society. Parents are in charge of raising their children, and they are essential in determining how our planet will develop in the future. On the occasion of the Global Day of Parents, we have the chance to express our gratitude to parents for all that they do and to thank them for their commitment and hard work.

Kaziranga Elevated Road Project: A Solution to the Problem of Animal-Vehicle Collisions

One of the most significant wildlife sanctuaries in India is Kaziranga National Park. Numerous additional animal species, such as tigers, elephants, and deer, as well as many one-horned rhinoceroses live there. However, the park is also close to a busy road, which has caused numerous collisions between animals and cars. The Assam government has suggested building an elevated route through the park to lessen the number of animal-vehicle incidents. The elevated road would be constructed next to the current roadway and have a vertical clearance of 9 to 10 metres to allow for animal passage. Nine animal corridors and two tunnels would be added to the road to ensure the safety of the animals. A contentious project is the Kaziranga Elevated Road. The environment of the park will be significantly disrupted by the road, according to some, while others argue that it is important to safeguard the animals from the perils of the roadway. The project is now being tendered after receiving appro...
